I know a lot of you will be cooking for Thanksgiving. A quick note to think about when you start to use that written recipe you pulled out of a magazine, off the internet, or out of a newspaper. As this correction in the LA Times reminds, those recipes don’t always tell you exactly what to do.
Muffin recipe: A recipe for whole-wheat sweet potato muffins in Wednesday’s Food section called for roasting the sweet potatoes, then allowing them to cool and lightly mashing them with a fork. They should be peeled before mashing.
If you’re anything like me, peeling is not always intuitive.
Good luck.
